Title: Rose Filling Cups

"It's been a long known fact that if you someone, you have to tell them. Because what if the next day is there last? In our world, filled with pains and smiles alike, we can't ever stop relying on the unstableness of the IF factor. Of course, everything is bound to go right and wrong with different calculations of success and failure. But, I believe, if you log that all way that one day you will find a true happiness- a true valley of peace where the flowers bloom and in the moonlight under the starry skies you don't have to stand there alone anymore. Pirates, and citizens alike, we all have our differences and decide hate is stronger than love. But the truth is that we are all searching to find that sparkle of love and keep it with us always."

Kazuko closed the book in his lap and sighed. Sitting in a soft single bed in a very small room; the bed taking up all of the room and some shelfs beside him, it was like a capsule hotel you'd see in movies. He looked to his side and moved back some dark curtains, peering out into the dark starry sky with a moon glowing like the sun. He smiled a bit and closed his eyes.

"Was it really okay for us to leave like that...?" Kazuko asked the silence around him. He opened his eyes slightly, looking to the leather bound book in front of him. "Satomi left this with me, but I'm not sure how much longer I can last like this." He sighed.

It's been a month since their leaving with Emba in his ship. They had arrived at the lighthouse city and met up with the girls after a couple of days. Soon after, Satomi was blamed for a crime of murder back on the mainland. He gave Kazuko this journal and left with the royal guards. Emba had tried to comfort Kazuko and offered he'd give him a ride back to Raz, but Kazuko refused. With the help of Emba, he was given a small skiff to go afloat in to return to the mainland, but it was only big enough for one person. Kazuko said he'd go find Satomi and be back soon; that was three weeks ago.

Since then, Kazuko's been lost at sea. Drifting with the waves, paddling only during the day and hoping that if he keeps following the sun during the day he'll find the mainland. The brunette treated it like a fasting time, eating only a little each day at dark before taking a couple hours rest. In the morning, he'd stretch a bit on the bed and then get back to paddling after the sun.

Kazuko hated being awake on the sea at all, and was starting to regret not taking the free ride from Emba now. His innate ability to see the spirits of the dearly departed was haunting him. All around him were ghosts of the dead pirates, sailors, victims of war and anything else that might've been tossed into the sea. The planet had three continents, and four small island clusters. The continents mostly cremated their departed love's body, but in some cases they'd send them adrift at sea. The islands all sent their loved one's adrift with candles to light the way to the next world.

You'd think one of these spirits could give Kazuko directions, but none were in their "right mind". All were crying and moaning for the days of the living, and seem to find great pleasure in stalking Kazuko until he's out of their body's final resting places radius.
Yes, that took a while x.x Sorry.
